The Upper Loup NRD and the Sandhills Extension Office joined efforts in teaching local fourth graders on using GPS units and geocaching. The students were given GPS units and braved the elements of fog and drizzle to go on a scavenger hunt to find caches (hidden treasures) that had been placed earlier in the day at a variety of mystery location. They searched for 10 caches that contained prizes and puzzle pieces which were put together when all of the pieces were found.
