Recycling 

 

Did you know?

- 250 MILLION trees could be saved each year if all our newspaper was recycled

- Only 30% of all waste is recycled while 70% can actually be recycled

- 4 pounds of trash are generated daily by the average person

The Upper Loup NRD has an active and ongoing recycling program and you can be a part of it! ULNRD has multiple recycling trailers in many locations across the district. Materials to be recycled include Plastics (#1 and 2 only), aluminum, tin, paper, cardboard, and some small electronics.

Trailer locations include:

Dunning: Southwest corner of High School parking lot

Halsey: Just south of the community building

Hyannis: Hyannis School Parking lot

Mullen: At village drop-off site during normal business hours, it is a red trailer which accepts tin, aluminum, and 1-2 Plastics.

Thedford: 39252 Highway 2 -Upper Loup NRD Office Parking Lot

Stapleton: In old state yard on the west edge of town

Brownlee: East of the old Post Office

Electronic Recycling Container locations include:

Thedford: ULNRD Office, Security First Bank, Ewoldt's Grocery Store, Thomas County Courthouse

Mullen: 1st State Bank
